PHOSFERT
P " is one of the vital elements required for crop growth. Only 20 to 30% of added soluble inorganic phosphatic fertilizers are available to plants and rest are lost due to leaching and or by chemical fixation. Over the years, in areas of high fertilizer use, this chemically fixed phosphorus has accumulated in the soil as insoluble phosphates of calcium, iron and aluminum. Plants cannot absorb phosphates in insoluble forms Some microorganisms can solubilize these chemically fixed insoluble phosphates and make them bio - available to plants.
Use of such Phosphate Solubilizing Liquid Biofertilizers can decrease the use of chemical phosphatic fertilizers make the soluble phosphorus available at a lower cost. Phosphate Solubilizing Liquid Biofertilizer can be used for organic farming to produce residue free food. Repeated use of Phosphate Solubilizing Liquid Biofertilizers can impart sustainability to soils.Phosfert is a liquid formulation containing plurality of strains of Azotobacter and Bacillus. These bacteria are in their dormant forms and are suspended in clay based liquid formulation.

Mode of action
The dormant forms of Azotobacter and Bacillus on reaching the soil, germinate to produce metabolically active cells. These cells of Azotobacter and Bacillus grow and multiply by utilizing the carbon source in the soil or from root exudates. During their growth, they fix atmospheric nitrogen and solubilize insoluble phosphates in the soil, which the plants absorb. Thus, Phosfert provides a joint benefit of nitrogen fixation and phosphate solubilization.

Direction Of Use
  • For food crops & oil seeds- Dilute 100 ml of Phosfert in 200 lit water. Spread the emulsion over 2 acre (0.8 hectare) area

  • For cash crops & vegetables- Dilute 100 ml of Phosfert in 200 lit water. Spread the emulsion over 1 acre (0.4 hectare) area

  • For horticultural crops-Dilute 250 ml of Phosfert in 200 lit water. Spread the emulsion over 1 acre (0.4 hectare) area

  • For soil broadcasting- Mix 100 ml with 50 kgs of cowdung and 5 kgs of rock phophate. Moisten the mixture and cover it. Mixing should be done in shade. After 1 hour broadcast the mixture over 1 acre
Product advantages
  • Supply of 10 to 15 kg./ ha of " P " to the plants.
  • Saves 50 % of nitrogenous and phosphatic inputs together
  • Avoids soil erosion thereby helping conservation and improvement of soil structure and fertility.
  • Being environment friendly, does not disturb ecological balance.
  • Enriches soil micro-flora.
Handling information
  • Shake well before use
  • Keep in a cool place away from heat and sunlight
  • Bottle once opened should be used immediately.
  • Should not be mixed with antibacterial agents.
  • Phosfert can be used jointly with insoluble rock phosphates or tricalcium phosphates or bone-meal. It can also be used to enrich the farm yard manure or vermicompost or organic matter prepared from organic sources by the process of composting.

Safety information
  • The product is non toxic to animals, plants or human beings.
  • It does not leave any harmful residues.
  • Phosfert can be used for organic farming.
